Everyone Fits In
Like the name says, there’s wood here, and lots of it — polished dark paneled floors, furniture, and accents create a classic pub atmosphere. The mood is enhanced by dim lighting and a couple of fireplaces to huddle around in wintertime while sipping a pint. Comfy booths offer privacy on one side of the restaurant, while tables and chairs by the window are the place to be in the summer, when the front windows roll up like big garage doors and Elgin Street becomes a perfect stage for people-watching. The long bar offers plenty of seating for patrons, who are young and old, blue-collar and professional. It's also a great place to watch the game on several big flat screen TVs.

Like any pub worth its salt, Woody's menu offers lots of appetizers, like wings, mussels, calamari and nachos, as well as a couple of combo platters for sharing—or not! Some creative sandwiches, main course salads, pizzas, and five ways for a burger are great for lunch or dinner. Main meals include homey offerings like shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, Guinness stew, and bangers and mash, as well as steaks and lamb chops for those with a serious hunger on.
