Unlike chain sports equipment stores, Valiquette’s doesn’t cover a wide range of activities—you won’t find tennis rackets or soccer cleats here—but what they do, they do well. There’s a large selection of brands and the staff knows their stuff. Valiquette’s claim to be Ottawa’s hockey specialists, carrying products from more than 20 hockey equipment and apparel manufacturers. Along with big names like Easton and Sherwood, you’ll find specialty brands such as Brian’s, the Canadian maker of custom-made goalie equipment.

But it isn’t all about hockey at Valiquette’s Source for Sports. Find a selection of bicycles and bike equipment by brands like Bell, Rock Shox, KHS and Dyno (makers of the Canadian Kustom Kruiser line.) Valiquette steps up to the plate with its selection of baseball equipment and apparel, carrying all the major brands such as Louisville, Rawlings, Wilson and Nike,and more.

They keep a record of buyer profiles to keep customers abreast of new promotions, and also offer team apparel services. The store has an authorized Bauer and CCM pro shop on site, and can do minor baseball equipment repairs.
