A Family-Friendly Place
With its cozy rear dining room, complete with fireplace and large, bright front dining room, Robbie’s can accommodate parties of two and 200, and any number in between. Families are welcome. The ambiance is a cut-above but the prices are comparable to what you’d pay at lower quality chain restaurants. Reservations are recommended, and if you prefer to dine at home, take-out is available.
Traditional Italian Fare
The menu offers classic Italian dishes. Find pizza, pasta, chicken, veal and a good selection of seafood. Everything from the minestrone to the manicotti is made fresh. Vegetarians have limited options for main dishes – there is lasagna (ricotta cheese, spinach, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli and tomato sauce), vegetarian spaghetti and pizza. The entrées are a meat-lovers paradise, divided between veal, chicken, steak and seafood dishes. Taste the chicken parmigiana done exactly as it should be, or try something new – the veal picatta is tender medallions sautéed with capers in a lemon sauce. And if it’s your birthday, your meal is on the house (no lying about your age though, proper identification is required).
