Staying true to its name, this small campsite offers camping spaces along the banks of the Rideau River. With seven docks available to campers, it’s no wonder that fishing is one of the favourite pastimes here. River bass, pike, and perch are just some of the fish you can catch. Bring your own boat or even use a boat to get there. Nature lovers will also enjoy the flora and fauna offered by the place. Some of the abundant wildlife includes deer, loons, and fox. Trailers are available for rent, but no tents are allowed on the grounds. Riverside Campground is a seasonal operation, offering services from spring to fall. There is one set of showers.
So Much To Do
Some campers just sit back and relax, but others like to stay active. Aside from fishing, there are a lot of other enjoyable activities at this site to make sure everyone has a good time. Many people at this site enjoy using the volleyball court for communal games, where people can get to know each other and get some exercise at the same time. The site also has a great selection of trails for nature walks and cycling. Maps are available to plan outings. In addition, you will find a reception hall for parties, which often features live music and karaoke.
