Great Ball
If you love really great baseball you’re going to love the Ottawa Rapidz. Part of the independent league, Ottawa’s new team will join with teams from cities like Atlanta, New Jersey and Quebec to play and entertain anyone who loves the sport of baseball. “Home stands” of four or five games in a row will give fans a chance to really see their team in action and will get caught up in the excitement in ways they never could before.
Local Team
Unlike other leagues where teams are owned by major league teams, the Ottawa Rapidz are an Ottawa based team and that means we get to experience every single moment of the fun. Tryouts start in May, followed by spring training on our own field. You’ll love watching the team from the very beginnings of its growth and development and will appreciate getting to see the players up close. Though most of the team will be signed from players with either major league or major league affiliate experience you will be delighted to find a few rookies on the roster as well.
Community and Fun
Though the product on the field may be slightly different fans can still expect all the great elements of baseball they love – the noise, the food and the fun. Expect to see players out and about in the community, signing autographs before and after games, and running little league clinics.
