The 10,000-seat Civic Centre Arena is home to the Ottawa 67s, Ottawa’s Ontario Hockey League (OHL) team. From September through March, the team plays home games almost every Friday night and some Sunday afternoons. Capacity crowds are common. When not in use by the 67s, the Arena often hosts other sporting events such as concerts, consumer shows, business functions and recreational hockey. For events that require a slightly more intimate feel, the Arena can be converted to the Civic Centre theatre using floor to ceiling theatre drapes to divide the space. There are two possible configurations, the larger of which can seat up to 5,700 people.
Show and Tell
In addition to the arena/theatre, the Civic Centre has five exhibit halls, commonly known as the salons. These five rooms, each about 5,400 square feet in size, can be rented for trade and consumer shows as well as community events, meetings and socials. The versatile salons can be configured in combination for larger events or divided up for smaller ones. Lastly, the Civic Centre’s 3,000 square foot assembly hall can be rented separately or in conjunction with other Civic Centre facilities. It is ideal for weddings, receptions and business meetings. In-house catering services, provided by Aramark, are available for all functions using the Civic Centre’s spaces, whether you require concession snacks, boxed lunches or a fine dining experience.
