A Wee Bit of Everything
Their impressive selection of Aran knitwear (a traditional weaving method) includes sweaters, turtlenecks, cardigans, blankets and throws. Clothing-wise, they sell ‘grandfather shirts,’ (an extremely popular line – they sell 600 per season) and summer dresses in floral and whimsical prints. For weddings, O’Shea carries a selection of full Highland dress rentals (which includes kilt, Prince Charlie jacket and vest, black bow tie, sporran, sock flashes and sgian dubh).

Well Preserved
The store looks pretty much the same as when it first opened around 30 years ago. Preserved wood and glass counters, steel fixtures, stain glass signs and wooden shelves make up the decor. The building itself is even older, adding to the historic atmosphere. The cheerful staff are well versed in the way of the Irish, so whether it’s your first time buying Celtic products or you want to place a special order for a little piece of home, they’ll make sure you are happy.

Hard Core Logos
O’Shea’s carries over 600 thoroughly researched and verified coat-of-arms on-site. These traditional crests can be applied to t-shirts, rugby shirts, sweatshirts, caps, mugs and even watches, and make marvelous, one-of-a-kind gifts. If your family’s coat-of-arms isn’t on their list, O’Shea’s can research it for you.

Details

All in the family: The owner's daughter and son-in-law own a sweater factory in Westard, Ireland; O’Shea’s gets their knits cheap and pass the savings on to customers.
