Popular pub and dance bar Minglewoods moved to its Waller Street location in 2005, but the three-level format that made it famous has been recreated in this heritage building with exposed stone walls and rough-hewn wood ceiling beams. They even brought the stuffed moose heads with them, their antlers draped artfully with Christmas lights. They didn’t want to leave behind the memories they had been collecting since first opening in 1995.
Snacks are the name of the game on this Canadian-themed menu, and there’s plenty to choose from on this full menu. Soups and salads, nachos and wings, jalapeno poppers, mozza sticks and even a six-pack of mini cheeseburgers for sharing — or not. For the herbivores among you, there’s even a veggie and dip platter and some deep-fried zucchini. Minglewoods also serves up burgers topped a dozen different ways, each built on a half-pound of lean Canadian beef.
Brew for You
With over a dozen beers on tap (domestic, imports, and small breweries) you’re bound to find something that will satisfy your thirst. Minglewoods also features Canadian wines from the Okanagan and Niagara regions as well as plenty of coolers, energy drinks, cocktails and shooters. This fun bar has Wing night on Mondays, and Spaghetti Tuesdays; drop by and find out why they’re so popular.
Tip: You can book the upper or lower level for events or private parties.
