McNabb Community Centre is a well-established city resource that offers a variety of amenities and facilities in an attractive downtown neighbourhood. Operating as a community centre since the 1970s, McNabb is home to the largest park in the core of the city. Younger children enjoy the large play structure and wading pool while adults can relax in the gazebo.
Keeping the Kids Busy
Older children and teens from around the region pay a small fee to cruise the skateboarding park that is set up in the arena during the early part of the summer. After the ramps come down, the arena becomes home to a variety of skating programs. There is also a drop-in centre to keep kids busy and a variety of programs such as public skating and city-sponsored programs.
McNabb's gym and pottery studio are popular choices for a range of adult interest courses. There is also a stage where local groups can put on plays and other productions with seating for an audience of up to 150.
Get Sweaty with Special Preschool Programs
McNabb is proud to offer a number of classes specially geared to preschool children and their parents. Sweaty Moms, Yoga with Babies and Infant Massage are popular choices for local families and provide families a chance to exercise and have fun together.
Classes: Register early for classes as some courses fill up very quickly.
