A small restaurant with a big heart, La Dolce Vita is situated right in the heart of little Italy on Preston Street. The dining room is a few steps below street level, which adds to La Dolce Vita's cozy, inviting atmosphere. The patio is on street level, and is the perfect spot for a sunny lunch or a breezy dinner, while watching people stroll down Ottawa's Corso Italia.

Playing Favourites
Calzones and gourmet pizzas are the specialties at La Dolce Vita, and one look at their menu and daily specials will tell you why. With names like Verona, Francesca, Pescara and Mediterrana, and ingredients such as black tiger shrimp, homemade hazelnut pesto, Asiago cheese and dried apricots, La Dolce Vita’s pizzas and calzones are a far cry from the ordinary. Ordering pasta won't leave you any less satisfied. The penne special, with creamy, sun-dried tomato sauce, is a constant on the specials menu, due to popular demand from regular customers. The meat and vegetarian lasagnas are homemade, and so are the seafood cannelloni and the manicotti. The Greek salad is loaded with vegetables like cucumber and celery, and is accompanied by a stuffed grape leaf.

La Perfecta
With a large selection of bottled beers, a great wine list, and a menu with something for every one, La Dolce Vita is a great place for after work, daytime lunches, and families. Of course they serve fantastic espressos and cappuccinos, and their dessert lists includes a white chocolate zucotto and one of the best tiramisus the city has to offer. Although the portions are large, the prices are very reasonable, and the excellent service will leave you with the satisfaction of an evening well spent.
