Warm and Serene
Offering the finest in classic Thai cuisine, The Green Papaya serves Ottawa-Gatineau residents from three different locations, all finely decorated in warm, exotic colours. Patrons can enjoy a relaxing meal amidst a sea of Asian paintings, statues, chandeliers and exposed brick walls. Much like the inviting atmosphere, the staff at Green Papaya are warm and friendly – the perfect compliment to your dining experience.

Urban-Style Thai
The Green Papaya offers a modern twist on the traditional Thai way of eating. Instead of choosing from a selection of meat and vegetable dishes to accompany a plain rice or noodle canvas, this place offers meals that are individually plated, with the main dish accompanied by your choice of noodles or steamed rice – all on one plate. This more urban style dining is popular in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok.

All the Best and More
The menu dances with traditional Thai favourites, including fresh or fried spring rolls, satays, grilled squid and deep-friend tofu. Spicy soups and salads are also popular items, and feature fresh herbs, spicy chillies and crunchy vegetables. Stir-fried and curry main dishes include seafood, beef, pork and chicken offerings as well as tofu for vegetarians, along with tons of veggies and plenty of nuts for crunch. In true Thai form, the fare at Green Papaya is brimming with flavours of basil, ginger, onion, garlic and peppers. The less adventurous need not worry, as the menu offers a wide range of spiciness, from zero to five chilies (Authentic Thai-style heat!).

How Hot?: There are three types of Thai curry - yellow, red and green. Yellow is the mildest, red is medium, and green is five-alarm spicy.
