Metered parking along MacLaren is usually fairly accessible so it’s easy enough to pop in for a quick bite while you’re out. The restaurant has seating for about eight if you prefer to sit and eat though most take their food to go. If you ask what the specialty of the house is, be prepared to hear poutine. Fries that are fresh cut daily and oil that is also fresh daily are just two of the reasons. The fries used here are only Yukon gold and that accounts for their slightly sweet goodness. And, despite the recent price hikes in quality potatoes, the price of the poutine here hasn’t gone up in several years. Rounding out the menu are things like pogos, chicken burgers and sausages.
Groceries Too
For those with the munchies, Fast Food Grocery also carries lots of chips, chocolate bars and gums, as well as a variety of beverages. Cigarettes are a big seller here as well and the shelves are well stocked. Looking for that one thing you forgot you needed? You can also find odds and ends like toothpaste, dish soap and Tylenol here as well. If you’re feeling lucky you can grab that winning lottery ticket while you wait for your lunch to be prepared.
