Long known to be a source of peaceful and healthy exercise, Yoga is taught in its many decidedly new age fashions at Core-Elation. A dedicated crew of teachers uses their healthful energy to foster mind-body awareness. In addition to yoga, massage therapy is offered, along with weight-free strength training, healthy detoxification programs, yoga for kids, and yoga training for those who wish to become instructors.

Core-Elation teaches several different types of yoga, for all different types of practitioners, but Vinyasa yoga is an excellent entry point for beginners. It is taught to the rhythms of new age music ranging from India’s Sanskrit mantras to tribal drumming. The music helps support the flow of breathing in concert with motion which is integral to this variety of exercise. The ultimate goal is to bring the Chakras, the vital energy points of the body, into balance. Classes are available for advanced yoga practitioners, and for those inclined to visit another level of consciousness, Vinyasa classes with meditation are offered.

 

Two registered massage therapists are on hand at Core-Elation in order to assist with maintaining full-body well-being. A session will not only relax you, but is intended to provide mind-body tools that can create habit-forming lifestyle alterations to decrease stress and increase overall health. Massage sessions are by appointment only and are covered under group health insurance.
