The Long and the Deep of it
Canterbury Pool is 25 metres long and approximately 9 feet deep. The water is kept at a standard 86-87 degrees Fahrenheit.

Canterbury Pool has a 1-foot springboard at the deep end and a Tarzan rope for the kids to enjoy. There is a sauna on the pool deck, and the pool is available for birthday parties. Canterbury Pool offers swimming lessons for children, adults and seniors, including skills-based learn-to-swim programs as well as Aquafit, Aquaquest and a power swim. Rental of the pool includes one hour use of the pool with lifeguards who can organize games and activities, plus one hour use of the lobby.
Special Features
Canterbury Pool is part of a community centre that includes a baseball diamond as well as facilities for activities such as tennis, basketball and volleyball. There is also a wading pool. In the summer, Canterbury is home to a summer aquatic sports camp for kids, which includes a full day of activities including water polo and other water activities in the mornings and afternoon field trips such as indoor rock climbing, picnic trips, and visits to the Canadian Museum of Nature. This Canterbury Pool is also wheelchair accessible.
