The Canada Aviation Museum is an excellent destination for amateur historians and aviation enthusiasts alike. The Museum’s collection focuses on the development of flying machine, in both peace times and war, from its uses during the pioneer period to the present time. A particular, but not exclusive, reference in made to Canadian achievements.
Programs
The incredible number of ongoing programs available at the museum is perhaps what makes it such a fabulous destination for families. Children and adults alike can learn about aviation, aircraft, as well as the principles of flight. How's that for an exciting way to spend a day?
Very Resourceful
The museum also has a very large and detailed library and archives. Researching a paper that has something to do with aviation? This is the place to go! Canada’s best aeronautical information resource maintains 12,000 books, 7,000 bound periodicals, 7,500 technical manuals and over 35,000 research photographs. The content focuses on the history of aeronautics, both civilian and military. Even the staff of the museum get in on the action, by writing various research papers and making them available for the public to peruse.
