A Vegetarian Delight
Everything at Café Gaia is homemade and contains no meat and no preservatives. Many menu items are vegan (no dairy or eggs) and the baked goods are wheat-free, a plus for those with gluten intolerances. The short, handwritten menu includes a daily soup and a short selection of sandwiches and salads, as well as the “organic health plate”, marinated baked tofu with brown rice, seasonal vegetables, and a green salad with sesame ginger dressing.

Green Cuisine Eclectic
Café Gaia occupies the ground floor of a tiny duplex with six tables and a counter with three wooden stools. There’s also a small covered terrace out front, suitable for sunny days or rainy nights. Several of the tables are covered in hand-painted murals; the walls are deep orange, green and bright blue and plants are everywhere. Paintings grace the walls and are for sale if they strike your fancy.

Guilt-Free Buzz
Fair-trade coffee and teas, both black and herbal, are available for sale, as well as to accompany your meal. No alcohol here. If you’re not into caffeinated beverages, you can also sip a fruit juice, sparkling water, soda or an organic spritzer. They also have really good selection of yummy desserts if you want to indulge yourself after being so darn good.
