How it All Began
Anita Roddick opened the first Body Shop store in 1976 in Brighton, England. Since then, The Body Shop has grown into an internationally reputed firm and opened its first Canadian franchise in Canada in 1980. From the start, Canadians went wild for the latest skin care products from across the pond, but what makes The Body Shop so unique is its emphasis on producing 100 per cent all-natural products. There are now a whopping 116 stores in Canada. Offering new sensationally smelling products every year, the Body Shop is a great spot to find that perfect gift.

A Treat for the Senses
Offering products like the Spicy Vanilla Body Butter, an olive-scented cream for the hands, a shiny golden apple lotion, Milk Bath Powder, papaya and grape seed shampoo, Cassis Rose Body Mist, the Body Shop makes caring for your body almost poetic! Your body will appreciate your taking good care of it. Why not spoil your guests by creating an olfactory ambience for every occasion: gingerbread, sesame, pumpkin-nectarine, musk, and the list goes on.

Social Conscience
The major difference between the Body Shop and its competitors is probably its huge social involvement. Fighting on all fronts, The Body Shop favours fair trade, sponsors, fights violence against women and children, strives to eliminate animal testing, raises global warming awareness and supports AIDS research. Think about all of that the next time you need a bar of soap!

Love Your Body: A Club
The Body Shop has created a “Love Your Body” rewards club that includes discounts, gifts, exclusive offers, special days, rewards and birthday surprise. Who could resist such a royal treatment?
