A Little History
Billings Bridge is one of Ottawa’s first shopping centres, opening in 1954 with eight stores. It’s evolved dramatically since then, growing from a small outdoor strip mall to an indoor plaza with over 100 shops and services. Throughout these changes, several original stores - including Fairweather and Reitmans – have remained familiar faces to Billings Bridge customers.
Eco-Friendly
Thanks to extensive renovations in 2008, Billings Bridge is also Ottawa’s first “green” mall, honoured with the BOMA award for environmental sensitivity. Of eco-conscious note are the green construction methods used during the expansion, and commitment to energy efficiency.

Billings Bridge attracts shoppers of all ages and interests, and gives back to the community by hosting free meeting venues for many local non-profits. Well-served by public transit links and an easy exit off the Parkway, Billings Bridge is a one-stop shopping destination.
