A Quick Lesson on Products
Bali Distinctive Interiors has been providing quality service for years and is also helpful in explaining the differences and similarities in their product lines. For the novice, it can be an interesting learning experience. For example; wicker is not a material itself but a general classification covering all woven furniture. Bamboo is part of the giant grass family and rattan is a vine-like climbing plant that is part of the palm family. Now that you have the basics, be prepared to browse through a tremendous selection.

Manufacturers and Accessories for the Home
Bali Distinctive Interiors has drawn its product line from a quality list of manufacturers. They include; Acacia Home and Garden, Ratana, Whitecraft, Laura Ashley, Boca Rattan, Kudos, Cebu, La Difference and American Home Patio. They also provide a wide range of lamps, pictures and accessories from around the world. The Oriental Section has proven popular with complementary furnishings like little cabinets, curios, consoles, television cabinets, sculptures and paintings. This collection has become so popular that it turned into its own neighbouring store called PAGODA.

A Cool Shop in More Ways than One
Bali Distinctive Interiors was branded the first official "Cool Shop" of Ottawa in 2006. The Cool Shops program run by the Clean Air Foundation and supported by Hydro Ottawa, the Ontario ministry of the Environment and Enbridge Gas Distribution, helped small street-facing businesses reduce energy consumption and save on utility costs, while helping improve air quality. It was a perfect fit for Bali Distinctive Interiors. The store was renovated in 2005 and it provided an opportunity to become as energy efficient as possible and still have a comfortable and well lit shop.
