Colourful Cocktails
Hit with a sudden craving for a cold and colourful cocktail with a delicious, fruity flavour? Look no further than the Aloha Room. Tucked away under Barrymore's on Bank Street, this lounge has cocktails on special every day of the week. From Calypso Coolers to Bahama Mamas, as well as the more familiar Margaritas and Seabreezes, Aloha serves up exotic beverages with a hefty helping of Hawaiian zest.

Hang Ten Baby!
Described as Hawaiian kitsch, the Aloha Room plays with the fifties' beach movie look. Look around and you'll notice the lava lamps, surfboards on the wall, and plenty of laid back attitude. The crowd ranges in age from 20 to 45, and comes from all walks of life to enjoy the ambience. Aloha is a chameleon of sorts: depending on the day of week, it can be an intimate lounge or a bumping nightclub.

The Music
DJs spin a different style of music every night, ranging from latin to glam rock. Fridays are one of the most popular nights of the week, when Aloha-goers boogie down to the sounds of some serious funk. Not in a dancing mood? Grab a table and enjoy the music while sipping one of the beers on tap (or a trademark cocktail). The Aloha Room is also a cozy place to catch some live entertainment. If you want to get a taste of some genuine local talent, this might be a good place to look. Ottawa poets, individual musicians and bands have all passed through this little piece of paradise to share their talents with poetry slams, CD listening parties and performances.
