Built in 1875 by Canada's Chief Architect, Thomas Seaton Scott, the Albert House Inn was once part of Ottawa's privileged "Uppertown" district. The beautiful home is now a lovely inn with 17 individually decorated rooms, some with Jacuzzi tubs. It is a perfect spot for a long or short stay, because everything you might want to visit is within walking distance, including Parliament Hill.
Stately Charm, Modern Amenities
It is a handsomely decorated home, harking back to and era of beauty and careful attention to detail, but that doesn’t mean you’re lacking any of the modern amenities. There are a variety of modern business amenities such as data port telephones in the rooms, photocopier, fax, and high speed Internet access in their small business centre, and WiFi. The inn is a delightful mixture of the past and present.
The Breakfaster's Delight
Breakfast is a main attraction at the Albert House Inn. A full-course breakfast menu is included in the room rate. Guests can choose from unlimited hot oatmeal, omelettes, French toast, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. The inn does have 3 floors, so if climbing up stairs is an issue, you can be booked on the first floor.
