Unlike many bed and breakfasts that are typically Victorian (small and filled with antiques) the Byward Bed and Breakfast has a style all its own. The contemporary design and clean, bright spaces are refreshing and calming. Fabulous beds with crisp white linens will help you get a great night’s sleep and awake ready for whatever your day should bring. White walls, lots of light and modern décor show off the beautiful artwork and give you a light, airy feel.
Location, Location
Only two blocks north of the Byward Market, this B&B is literally close to everything but still manages to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Walk to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and boutiques, the National Gallery or Parliament Hill with ease. Stroll the shops of the market or get into some serious shopping at the large indoor Rideau Centre. Tourists, people on work-related visits, even guests visiting people in the city can feel at home and find what they need here.
Forget the Eggs
There are two rooms for your slumber choice. Each room comes with cable TV and full Internet access. Since 2001, people visiting the B&B have been pleasantly surprised by the feast that will help them start their day. Avoiding heavy eggs and bacon, a healthy breakfast is served, full of variety and flavour to help charge your cells and start the day feeling fresh, not full. Cereal, croissants, yogurt, juice and fresh fruit will get you off on the right foot.
